Our Inaugural Charity Golf Tournament took place on Wednesday, October 11th, 2023 at Royal Woodbine Golf Course, located at 195 Galaxy Blvd, Etobicoke, Ontario. The Shotgun Event began at 9:00 a.m. and wrapped up around 3:30 p.m. with a fabulous lunch at The Vue. The Event included 18 holes of golf, bag drop, golf cart, bag breakfast, complimentary drinks, and chances to win many great prizes while out on the course. At hole 1 golfers were greeted by hosts from the Fiat Caffe where they enjoyed an espresso, along with a tasty mid-morning snack.
Speech & Debate Canada Foundation would not have been able to host a successful event without our supporters who came out to spend the day on the course for a good cause. We are thankful to our wonderful sponsors Martin, Lucas & Seagram Ltd., Osisko Mining Corporation and the Sofina Foundation. We would also like to thank two very generous anonymous sponsors who showed a very generous spirit towards our foundation. Lastly, our major prize sponsor Wilson Niblett Motors Limited who provided hole in one prizes at holes 4, 7, 10, 14, & 15 including $50,000 towards the purchase of a new car at Wilson Niblett. We are grateful to everyone and certainly would not have been able to have carried this out without the support we received.
Thank-you!
Prizes of a bottle of wine and David's Tea Wheels were awarded to lucky winners at each table. Our live auction item of two Platinum Maple Leaves Tickets, donated by Gordon C. Wilson went to the highest bidder, Paul McLeese.
Plans are already underway for our 2024 Charity Golf Tournament to be held on Tuesday, October 8th, 2024 at Royal Woodbine Golf Course, located at 195 Galaxy Blvd, Etobicoke, Ontario. Stay tuned for updates!
